Kabul: Taliban’s supreme leader Mullah Muhammad Omar has been killed, says a text message sent by outfit’s spokesmen to journalists in Afghanistan on Wednesday.
However the text did not described the circumstances that led to killing of Omar. Meanwhile the Taliban denied rumours that the movement’s leader Mullah Mohammed Omar, had died or been killed following Afghanistan’s main intelligence service had reported that the spiritual leader had disappeared from his alleged Pakistan hideout
Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid claims that the enemies of Taliban have hacked his mobile phone and sent false text messages to media on Wednesday morning reporting the death of Mullah..
“The report about the death of Mullah Omar is merely a propaganda to demoralize Mujahideen. Mullah Omar is alive, inside Afghanistan and is leading Mujahideen against foreign troops,” Zabihulla Mujahid told China’s Xinhua news agency.
