Geneva: Daniel Fiol lodged a written complaint at the International Criminal Court accusing the United States President Barack Obama of violating the Geneva Convention.
Special commandos of US Navy Seals on Obama orders killed Osama bin Laden on May 2 in a garrison town of Abbottabad, Pakistan.
In his written complaint, the Majorca-based lawyer said that the former al Qaeda leader should have been “pursued, arrested, tried and convicted” on behalf of “the victims of some terrible and appalling atrocities”. The killing OBL was even worse as it took place in foreign territory, Pakistan, without the permission of that government, he said.
“I am not being paid by al-Qaeda,” Mr Fiol sated.
Former British premier Tony Blair has said that he would not have hesitated to order the assassination of bin Laden if the decision had been his.
