ISLAMABAD: Pakistani karate team composed of 5 members will participate in the 10th Asian Karate Championship being held in China from July 16-25.
Pakistan will compete in five different weights. Baz Muhammad will participate in 60kg, Muhammad Kashif in 55kg, Shadi Abbas in 67kg, Imtiaz Ali in 75kg and Muhammad Ramzan in 85kg.
“Team would hopefully produce a good result” , Shamim Hashmi, Secretary, Pakistan Karate Federation, told APP. He said that the efforts of coach Khalid Noor will prove fruitful as he has worked hard in providing training to he participants.
“The team had a tough training in both morning and evening sessions with physical exercises in the morning and fight in the evening,” he added.
“Pakistan qualified for the semi-final in the last 9th South Asian Karate Championship but this time hopefully the team will win the championship” Hashmi said
