Lahore: Pakistan’s former foreign minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, has said that the current government was making policies on the directives of the IMF, adding that this would not only ruin the economy of the country but also its politics.
Addressing a seminar on Friday, Qureshi said that while making policies the government was not consulting stakeholders and that is why agriculture, industry and the economy of the country was deteriorating.
He added problems could still be solved by joint discussions and decisions but the government was not serious about this issue. General Sales Tax on fertilizer would increase its rate, he added.
