Islamabad: 13 policemen arrested in connection with PML-N MNA Anjum Akeel case have been granted bail. Bail was granted to the policemen for Rs 50,000 each.
The policemen including the S.H.O had been arrested yesterday on account of negligence of duty and suspicion of complicity in helping PML-N MNA Anjum Akeel escape from police custody yesterday night.
A case under the section 223/224 was registered against Shalimar Police Station SHO and 13 other policemen for committing negligence.
PML-N’s MNA Anjum Aqeel Khan’s had last night escaped from police custody with the help of party workers who had attacked the police station.
