Islamabad: Sindh Senior Minister Zulfiqar Miraza on Friday met President Asif Ali Zardari who expressed displeasure over his disputed statement against the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Muhajir community.
Mirza on Wednesday fired verbal salvo at the Muhajir community, triggering violence in Karachi that led to killing of 16 people and injuring several others on Thursday.
The president warned Mirza of issuing such statements and asked him to be careful in the future.
The president said Muhajirs were son and daughters of the soil and where ever they were living in Pakistan were respectable.He added that all the political parties should show tolerance and refrain from issuing provoking statements as the real threat to the country was militancy.
