Islamabad: President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari has taken notice of the provoking statement passed by Senior Sindh Minister Dr Zulfikar Ali Mirza against MQM Chief and sought report from Chief Minister Sindh within 24 hours.
Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar in a statement said that the statement passed by Mirza was not the party policy. Dr Mirza passed the statement in his own account, he added.
He said Pakistan Peoples’ Party want to promote the policy of reconciliation not warfare. He said President Zardair has also sought all records in regard with the statement.
Meanwhile, Secretary Information, PPP, Qamar Zaman Kaira and Senator Faisal Raza Abidi also said that Dr Mirza’s statement should be taken as his own statement not a party policy.
