South Waziristan: United States unmanned drone strikes killed at least 13 people in Pakistan’s South Waziristran area on late Monday, official sources said.
The drone targeted a house of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan commander Adam Khan Mehsud in South Waziristan area near Pak-Afghan border. As a result, 13 people were killed in the attack, The News Tribe correspondent reported from Peshawar.
Earlier in the day, US drone fired two missiles at a vehicle in Drane Nashtar area of South Waziristan in which at least 12 people were killed and wounded several others.
Pakistan’s official sources said that a US drone fired two missiles at a vehicle in Dare Nashtar Village of Barmil area of South Waziristan. They said that 08 people were killed and many other injured in the CIA-operated predator’s attacks, which have of late strained relations between the two allied on war on terror.
Pakistan termed the attacks as violation of its sovereignty and counter productive as overwhelming majority of those killed in these attacks have been civilians including women and children.
It was the second drone attack in a single day in Pakistan’s South Waziristan area in which at least 25 people have been killed.
