Karachi: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) may quit PPP-led coalition government both in centre and Sindh in protest against the postponement of elections on two AJK Legislative Assembly‘s seat in Karachi, as party’s federal and Sindh ministers submitted their resignations to party leadership.`
Sources told The News Tribe that the announcement to quit the coalition government or at least resignation from ministries would be made by party chief tonight. The party boycotted the AJK polls after the postponement of elections on two AJK Assembly seat for Kashmiris in Karachi.
Sources said that on Sunday night, general workers’ meeting would be held in Karachi and other cities and MQM chief Altaf Hussain would announce the party’s decision to quit ministries or government.
