Abdur Rasheed Turabi, joint candidate of Jamat-e-Islami and Muslim League-N for LA14-Bagh 2, has said that central government is interfering in the election of Azad Jammu and Kashmir and trying to buy votes of people.
Talking to The News Tribe, he said the candidate of PPP for the constituency was violating laws, but no one was taking any notice. He said the voter lists had omitted a large number of people’s names and NADRA office Bagh was not providing identity cards to people.
“We had demanded that elections be held under the supervision of military, but our demand was not accepted,” he said. “When we talk to chief election commissioner, he talks about limited resources.”
He said the ulema, teachers, lawyers and intellectuals of the area have supported him. “Jamat-e-Islami and Muslim League-N will achieve a spectacular success tomorrow.”
