Islamabad: The United States will provide two PC- 3 Orian aircraft to Pakistan to cater the South Asian country’s defence needs, sources said on Friday.
The sources said that the US will also provide F-16 warplanes and its spare-parts, adding that the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff Admiral Mike Mullen will soon be visiting Pakistan to convey US President Barrack Obama’s message.
Two US-supplied PC-3 Orian were destroyed during a brazen militants’ attack on MNS Mehran in Karachi on May 22. 11 officials were also killed in the episode.
