Islamabad: Pakistan army has vehemently denied that five CIA informants, including a major, who allegedly fed information to the CIA that led to killing of Osama bin Laden, have been arrested by the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI).
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) in statement issued here on Wednesday said that the news item published in the New York Times about the detention of major and other people was false and base less.
New York Times quoting official sources had reported Pakistan arrested some of the Pakistani informants, including an army major who fed information to the CIA in the months leading up to the Abbotabad operation that led to the killing of Osama bin Laden, . The Times said Pakistan arrested five CIA informants who copied the license plates of cars visiting bin Laden’s compound in Abbottabad.
