Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) PML-N and its allies continued protest against Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri’s appointment as Opposition leaders in senate here on Tuesday and boycotted the session.
During Senate session here on Tuesday Opposition leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haidri said that PML-N is challenging the supremacy of Parliament and the Supreme Court is not only for serving PML-N.
He further said that PML-N threatened the Chairman Senate to use other options in case his appointment as Opposition leader is not de-notified. He said that PML-N could hold demonstration, which is tantamount to subverting supremacy of Parliament.
Talking on point of order during the Senate session Senator Raza Rabbani has said that debate over appointment of Opposition leader in absence of PML-N ant it’s allies would be futile. He said Chairman Senate should call PML-N in his chamber and found way of reconciliation.
Chairman Senate said that their House forum is ready for this purpose and all members are free to debate over any issue.
On this juncture Haji Ghulam Ali said that PML-N termed PML-Q as hell and now Ishaq Dar wanted to bulldoze Parliament with the help of votes of PML-Q. He further said that PML-N cannot give up habit of house trading.
He said that Supreme Court is not only for PML-N but it is for all 18 million masses.
