Lahore: A banking cour on Saturday indicted Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) leader Moonis Elahi for his involvement in National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) scam.
Moonis was produced before the court by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) amid tight security.
The court summoned witnesses on June 16.
Moonis, a member of the Punjab Assembly and son of former Punjab chief minister Pervez Elahi, was arrested by the FIA on the charges of corruption in the NICL affairs. Pervez Elahi and other PML-Q leaders had been accusing PML-N and the federal government of politically victimizing Moonis, prior to become part of the government.
