Peshawar: Former regional chief of Jammiat Ulema-e-i Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Maulana Saleem Ullah Khan was gunned down in Kark district of Khyber Pukhtunkha on Tuesday.
TV reports said that unknown armed men shot dead the cleric leader and managed to escape. Police rushed to the spot and shifted him to a near by hospital for medical formalities.
Police said that investigation have been started to nab the culprits behind the killing of JUI leader.
Mulana Saleem Ullah Khan was the former district chief of the JUI-F. Intelligence Agencies have also warned the JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman of being on the top list of the terrorists. Fazl had survived two consecutive life attempts in recent past, carried out by suicide bombers.
