London: British Prime Minister David Cameron said that allies must work with Pakistan more closely than ever and not turn away while US President Obama said Taliban are the Pakistan’s enemy.
Addressing news conference in London Cameron said that Pakistan suffered mighty in the war against terrorism. “There enemy is our enemy” he added.
Visiting president Obama said he discussed with David Cameron the issue of forces drawdown from Afghanistan this year and transfer of security to the Afghan forces.He said the Taliban should separate themselves from the al-Qaeda.He said that the allies supported Afghan President Hamid Karzai’s efforts towards peace process in the country.
David Cameron praised Obama for his leadership and operation against Osama bin Laden.Cameron said he and Obama are also committed to helping those fighting for freedom across the Arab world. He said of Libyan ruler Moammar Gadhafi: “He must go.”Britain and the United States are key players in a NATO campaign to halt Gadhafi’s violence against his people.
Obama said the Cameron agreed with him that there would be no ground troops in Libya while Camaron said efforts to help Libyan rebels should not be underestimated.
