Karachi: Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik strongly condemned the assault on Pakistan Navy in PAF Base Faisal, Karachi and said, “this is not only the attack on Pak-Navy but attack on Pakistan.”
While talking to media representatives after reaching Karachi in the wee hours of Monday, Rehman Malik said Pakistan is passing through a very critical situation, and appealed whole the nation that for God sake…this time is to show unity not to point out scoring.
The interior minister criticized Taliban and al Qaeda and all those who support these groups and also offered Fatiha for Taliban and al Qaeda. All those who assisted the militants groups are not loyal to Pakistan and could not be called as Muslim, he said.
Meanwhile, Director General Public Relations Committee Pakistan Navy Irfan-ul-Haq said in his statements that no one captured any building in the area. He said he has no information regarding the news that any building has been captured, may be Rehman Malik knew any news.
Malik said “I cannot pass any comment that how the terrorists entered in the base, but I am sure that they want to destabilize Pakistan.” He said that operation is still continued in PNS and the terrorists have also controlled a building.
He said most of the city’s police personnel are busy in protecting people who were participating in demonstration for two days. He said the attack was not a security lapse, and it is impossible to vigil every corner of Pakistan.
