Baghdad: At least 16 people were killed and 50 others injured in Iraq when a suicide bomber blew him self up in Baghdad city, news agencies reported on Sunday.
Authorities said that seven police officials were also killed in the attack .
Rescue workers rushed to the spot and shifted the dead and injured to hospitals.More details were awaited.
The blast was the third deadliest attack in Iraq since the US killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in Pakistan in a commando raid on May 2.
At least 32 people have been killed and 78 others injured since Osama’s death.
