Lahore: Official website of University of Punjab, the largest University of Pakistan, has been hacked on late Wednesday night.
The hacker group named “Student Alliance” left a message on the site page, inscribing ‘Save Higher Education Commission’.
It is worth mentioning here that large differences have been observing for last few months between Pakistani government and the HEC over the issue of HEC’s devolution and transfer to provinces.
According to some educational experts transfer of HEC to the provinces show the mindset of some elements among Pakistan rulers who could not digest transparent educational system in Pakistan.
Under the orders of the Supreme Court of Pakistan HEC would work in its former capacity till further legislation in this regard.
