Miranshah: United States US unmanned drones carried out two missile strikes in separate areas of North Waziristan, the tribal area of Pakistan, killing at least 12 people on Monday, source said.
According to the sources, one drone bombed two missiles in Mir Ali Area of while another drone fired three missiles at a school in Khushal area of Khysur, North Waziristan. As a result, seven people were killed in the attacks. The death toll is feared to be increased.
The identities of the victims were yet to be ascertained.
It is pertinent to mention here that Ties between Pakistan and the US have reached on very critical stage after the US unilateral operation in Abottabad area of Pakistan that killed Al Qaeda Leader Osama Bin Laden on May 2.
It is also worth mentioning here that US Senator John Kerry return to the US after visiting Pakistan on Monday evening. During his speech in Pakistan, Kerry said the US knows that sovereignty and integrity of the country is very important for Pakistan.
Earlier on Friday, Parliament of Pakistan in a joint session with military and intelligence authorities approved a unanimous resolution that Pakistan US drone strikes and Abottabad like operation would not be tolerated in future. They agreed that if drone strikes would not be stopped then NATO and US supply line through Pakistan would be cut.
Pakistani defence and political analysts say that Monday’s US drone strike was not only a violation of Pakistani territory but also a big challenge for Pakistani military and political leaderships that how would they respond the US drones strikes.
