Islamabad: United States Senator John Kerry called on Pakistan Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani at General Headquarters (GHQ) Rawalpindi on Sunday evening. The influential US senator passed some time with the COAS and discussed matters of mutual interest with special reference to post Abbotabad incident.
US senator earlier on Sunday visited Afghanistan where he claimed that some Pakistan’s government officials knew about the presence of Osama Bin Laden’s hideaway in Abottabad.
At the other hand Secretary of State Hilary Clinton called Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and discussed issues of mutual interest. Zardari informed Clinton about Pakistan’s reservation over the US unilateral operation in Abottabad.
Sources said Eerlier in the day President and Prime Minister of Pakistan and Pak Army Chief called on and discussed national issues.
The sources said the army chief informed Pakistan’s top leadership that such kind of incidents would not be tolerated in future and national integrity would be protected at every cost.
