Islamabad: Pakistan’s former military chief General (Retd) Pervez Musharraf has categorically denied all claims that published by a British Newspaper that deal to get Al Qaeda’s No 1,2 and 3 had been done in his tenure with then US President George Bush.
While giving an interview to a private Pakistani TV channel (ARY News) Musharraf challenged that if anyone has evidences regarding any deal with the US then proof it. The US operation that killed Osama Bin Laden in Abottabad was an open violation of Pakistan’s integrity, but the operation was also a big failure of our intelligence agencies, he added.
He said major countries’ intelligence agencies are also failed like American agencies failed on 9/11 and Indian agencies failed on 26/11.
General Musharraf said why Army Chief General Ashfaq Pervez Kayani was silent over the US operation, he should be asked? Whole the nation should support Pak Army in this critical time when conspiracies are being hatched against Pak Army.
While answering a question Gen. Musharraf said no deal had been made with America that provided authority to the US to carry out drone attacks in Pakistan. He said adding that our government severely condemned the US drone strikes.
He informs, “Pakistan Air Force has ability to shoot down US drone, but I did not experience its ability in my tenure.”
Former military chief said he has information that former Prime Minister Pakistan Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif had linked with Osama Bin Laden, and the Al Qaeda chief had supported Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
