Lahore: Pakistan Federal Information Minister, Dr. Firdous Aashiq Awan has said that all political controversies and confusions would be resolved within next 72 hours.
While talking to media representatives at Allama Iqbal International Airport on Friday Awan said detailed talks and arrangement with Pakistan Muslim League (Q) (PML-Q) had been finalized, and all that was left was finalization of new accord between leadership Pakistan People’s Party and PML-Q, after which all would be peace and tranquility.
She announced that the new alliance with PML-Q was in accordance with reconciliatory politics, for which PPP had always strived for, taking all small and major political parties into confidence over National issues, and also vowed not to let the democratic integrity and stability of the Country to be derailed at any cost.
She said PPP still needed the coalition support of PML-N, which PPP would maintain at all costs, and blamed PML-N for any prevalent differences.
Lamenting that PPP was preoccupied in its war against terrorism, and economic crisis during most of its tenure so far, she assured that PPP would like to heed to normalizing economic crisis from now onwards.
She cited various accords and agendas being pursued with global community, in order to seek end to prevalent crisis, while the welfare of journalists and media was also on the anvil.
She also cited that steps being taken to enhance the Press Council formed during the Musharraf regime, alongwith appointment of its chairman.
She also informed that all regional newspapers would be given their due share of advertisements, while an autonomous department for better coordination with electronic media was also being formed.
