Karachi: Prominent Pakistani Comedian Moin Akhtar passed away after suffering heart attack in Karachi on Friday.
Great TV, stage and film actor Moin was survived by a widow, three daughters and two sons.
He was admitted to Combined Military Hospital where he breathed his last. Moin Akhtar had been rewarded Pride of Performance and Sitara-e-Imtiaz.
His body has been shifted to his residence located in Malir Cantonment area. He left one wife, three daughter and two sons behind. His funeral prayer would be offered on Saturday.
The legendary actor was born on 24 December 1950. Akther was a great actor of television, stage and theater. He was also a brilliant comedian impersonator.
Highly dynamic and versatile performer Moin Akhtar made his debut for television on September o6, 1966. His career best dramas were Rozi, Hot Plate, Such Much and Angan Terha.
Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari expressed grieve over the demise of Pakistan’s legendary actor Moin Akther.
Akther’s colleagues Umer Sharif, Bushra Ansari, Rauf Lala, Qawi Khan, Ghazala Javed, Javed Shaikh and others paid rich tribute the legendary actor. They said Akther was not only a good actor but also a great human being.
Bollywood actor Nana Patekar also expressed sorrow over the death of Akther and said he has learnt a lot from Akther. He said Moin Akthe was not only famous in Pakistan but also famed in India.
