Karachi: Karachi Electric Supply Company has announced that power load-shedding in the metropolis may be reached to 14 hours a day, senior KESC official said.
While briefing a press conference, Chief Financial Officer of the KESC Tayyab Tareen said the gas supply cut by Sui Northern Gas Company to KESC increased company’s expenditures of furnace oil up to billions of rupees.
According to Tareen, the SNGC said that it will provide 80 MMCFDS gas to KESC from 11th April, due to which KESC was compelled to cut power supply to the city up to 14 hours. The industrial sector will also affect due to the load-shedding, he added.
