Brazzaville: At least 14 people were killed in a transport plane crash in Pointe-Noire suburb area of Congo, on Monday.
One witness said ambulances were taking the dead to the mortuary and the wounded to hospital, a foreign news agency reported.
Civil Aviation representative Michel Ambende said the plane had crashed on landing but would not confirm that anyone had been killed.
“There is a lot of damage but we are not talking about dead yet,” he said, according to the news agency.
The plane is said to be an Antonov, operated by Trans Air Congo and crashed in the city’s Mvou Mvou district.
