Abu Dhabi: Four Americans were killed when their private plane crashed shortly after takeoff in the United Arab Emirates, the United States Embassy has said.
A statement by the US Embassy to local media said that the four were en route to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on the first leg of a trip back to the United States. There were no other details about the four.
Their twin-engine turboprop plane went down moments after taking off Sunday evening at Al Ain International Airport about 60 miles (100 kilometers) east of Abu Dhabi.
