Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has convened Pakistan Peoples Party’s Punjab ministers and top leaders to the federal capital here on Friday, sources said.
The sources said that the PPP ministers and senior leaders have reached Islamabad by air early morning.
They said that the meeting has been called to evolve the PPP’s future line of action in the wake of Pakistan Muslim League-N(PML-N)’s proposed decision to oust the PPP from the Punjab cabinet which is likey to be taken today after the end of the 45-day deadline given by the PML-N chief Nawaz Sharif to implement the 10-point reforms agenda.
The sources said that President Zardari would chalk out policy for the PPP and special duties would also be assign to the provincial leaders inline with the PML-N decision.
The PML-N meeting, scheduled today would decide PPP’s fate in Punjab cabinet.
The PML-N high level meeting is convened today which would be chaired by former premier Nawaz Sharif. Senator Ishaq Dar would give cognisance to the party leadership regarding deliberations with the government’s committee inline with implementation of the 10-point agenda.
