Jehlum: At least 18 people were killed when fire abruptly broke out in a bus carrying a marriage party, moving to Narowal from Rawalpindi on late Sunday night, rescue sources said.
According to local police the fire broke out when a gas cylinder of the bus blew up near Massa Kaswal, Jehlum.
Rescue sources said that at least 18 people including children and women burnt to death and several received injures in the incident. There were more than 90 people in the bus, they said. They said the bus has totally damaged.
The deceased and injured were rushed to THQ Hospital Sohawa. Death toll may further increase, hospital administration said.
