Dhaka: Five people were killed and 10 others injured in a head-on-collision between two buses Thursday at Bangladesh’s Bhogirathpur in Sadar sub-district of Narsingdi district, 51 km northeast of capital Dhaka.
A news agency quoted Police as saying that a Narisngdi bound bus collided head on with another Dhaka bound luxury bus coming from opposite direction, leaving five people dead on the spot. At least 10 people were also injured in the fatal accident.
All the victims were the passengers of the Narisngdi bound bus. Road accident are common in Bangladesh due to violation of traffic rules by inept drivers and lack of monitoring of the traffic department.
