Islamabad: Leader of the House in the Senate Nayyar Hussain Bukhari has sent a Rs20 million defamation notice to Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan.
The notice has been served through Syed Asghar Hussain Shah Sabzwari Advocate Lahore High Court and Supreme Court.
The notice says that Imran Khan has accused Nayyar Hussain Bukhari of being involved in the unlawful business of land grabbing in the area and that he has around 80 kanals of the already dwindling park land owned by CDA in Bani Gala. The advocate said that the documents submitted by CDA in the Supreme Court also confirmed that his client was not in possession of even an inch of CDA land either in Bani Gala or Malpur.
The notice says thus the application moved by the PTI chief suggests that he deliberately leveled false allegations and confused possession of land in village Malpur with that of land in Bani Gala thus the allegations stand false.
He added that Bukhari was maliciously prosecuted by the PTI chief and he should tender unqualified apology in written within 15 days and pay an amount of Rs 20.13 million injury caused to his client otherwise he will take recourse legal proceeding for enforcement o f right claimed.
