KARACHI: Three arrested accused involved in Karachi University blast on 28 December 2010 have disclosed that there are more than 100 accomplices working in various parts of Karachi, the largest populated city of Pakistan.
The arrested accused Hafizullah alias Bilal, Mohammad Umar alias Chotu and Faiz Ali during investigation told police that they are belong to Punjabi wing of banned Tahreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. Mohammad Umar and Faiz Ali were trained in Waziristan, the tribal area of Pakistan, and a person Maaz leaded them from Angor Adda, Waziristan, while Hafeezullah supported them in Karachi.
They revealed that they planted a remote control bomb on December 27 under a cement stool near main cafeteria and Umar, one of the arrested accused, detonated it through a mobile phone from Malir area in which five students were injured. They also disclosed that they stole a micro scope from the university laboratory.
Two of the arrested accused Hafizullah and Mohammad Umar are the students of Karachi University.
