Islamabad: US Vice President Joe Biden on Wednesday said that President Obama would visit Pakistan this year.
Addressing a joint press conference along with Prime Minister Gilani, he said US attached great importance to its relations with Pakistan.
He said that Al-Qaeda have sanctuaries in areas bordering Pakistan and Afghanistan.
He said that US did not want to hurt Pakistan for its interests.
Biden said US provided seven billion dollars assistance to Pakistan despite facing financial crisis.
He said that though US had abandoned Pakistan in the past but “we will not leave Pakistan alone in future.’
