Following the announcement, Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) began to promote Nepal Tourism Year 2011. It held a promotion at the JATA World Travel Fair in Japan, United States, Britain and China to promote Nepal Tourism Year 2011. The government and NTB are hoping to attract one million tourists in 2011.
