Lahore: Dense fog has blanketed Punjab and adjoining regions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh, disrupting road, rail and air traffic.
The fog also fell temperature in these areas.
Allama Iqbal airport, closed on Saturday night due to bad weather, has been opened on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier, several flights, three international among them, to and from Lahore were either cancelled or diverted to Karachi and other cities.
As a result, hundreds of passengers were stranded at the airport. They complained that they spent whole night at the airport as the authorities concerned did not provide them accommodation.
Moreover, road and rail traffic was also affected due poor visibility. Motorway, closed from Lahore to Pindi Bhattian on Saturday, opened for traffic today.
Motorway police has asked people to avoid using Grand Trunk (GT) road due to low visibility.
