Washington: At least 1.5 million dollars of the US taxpayers have been spent on the recent luxurious trip of President Obama with his family to Hawaii in order to spend Christmas vacations.
Though White House spokesmen are insisting that president Obama’s vacation expenses are same as earlier presidents, a part of media has stated that Obama decided to spend holidays at Winter White House having area of 7,000 square foot, situated at the beachside of Hawaii, which is only on 15 minutes drive from the home situated at beach fronting Bellows Air Force Base, where ex- US president Bill Clinton were used to lived.
US taxpayers lamented over the lavish expenses of their president and said Obama disappointed them as majority of the US population is still facing financial bounces because of recent international financial crises.
It is pertained to mention here that allegations of profligacy were also charged on President Obama on his visit to India. It had been said that the trip had been costing $200 millions per day.
Although spokesmen of White House had refused the statistics but remained fail to disclose actual figures on the pretext of security barriers.–Agencies
