Karachi: The Pak-Iran-Turkey container rail service will be named after Turkish President Abdullah Gul as “Gul Train”.
Briefing the media, Presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar said that the president during a meeting with investors told that Pak-Iran-Turkey container rail service would be named after Turkish President Abdullah Gul as Gul–Train.
The president urged the investors to invest in the freight rail project.
President Asif Ali Zardari has also approved the construction of roads under the Gorakh Hill project during a meeting held at the Bilawal House.
The president was informed that master plan for the Gorakh Hill project had been prepared and the scheme would be completed this year
He was also informed that the highest point of the project had been named after late Benazir Bhuto.
The meeting also reviewed the situation regarding private sector’s investment in the Zulfiqarabad and other construction projects.
President Zardari told the meeting that five applications from various consultants were received for the Zulfiqarabad project and in this connection a consultant would be appointed next week
